Just Hope Foundation

The Just Hope Foundation (JHF)- a Counselling and Consultancy Trust (JHFCCT) is a hundred percent (100%) citizen-owned Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). The JHF was conceptualized in 2004, when the founder was undertaking her studies in the Duquesne University, Pittsburgh PA. The JHF was initially intended to provide a safety net for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), however a lot of organizations’ showed interest in this area and the founder shifted goal posts to taking care of the bereaved populations in Botswana, especially in the rural area community (RAC) where the services are usually limited. The JHF began its mandate in 2008 but reorganized and registered in 2018.

The JHF has also provided grief and trauma counselling to some of these organizations’ following gruesome deaths of their colleagues; the Guardian Newspaper staff, Choppies Transport staff (2018), Botswana Police Services(2012), Media House Staff (BTV & National Radio) (2015), Township Rollers Football team and the Secretariat (2017), and Gosemama Community Junior Secondary School Netball Team (2014).
